Looks 4 Dates Photo upload Instructions:(PC only, MAC pending).

This section provides help with uploading your photos to a website. It is intended only as a guide, and a basic understanding of your computer is required.

Get organised: Make a new folder, and put it somewhere easy to find, (your Desktop, or My Documents/My Pictures are usually best).

The images on your disk have been saved in the popular JPEG file format. Use this format unless the website requests an alternative type, in which case you may want to download a free image conversion/viewing program such as Irfanview (this useful program will convert your JPEG image into most of the commonly recognized formats).

File types, and file sizes: Image/photo files can be saved in many different formats, JPEG, TIFF, Bitmap, GIFF and many more, although most websites favour JPEGs. Websites sometimes have limitations to the size of file that it will allow you to upload, whilst others automatically compress your images, which can cause stress or distortion to the picture, giving a jagged or pixelated appearance. Part of the Looks 4 Dates service is to provide you with not only with the original High Quality files, but also web-friendly versions at the correct resolution.

To save your new Looks 4 Dates photos on your computer:
Place your new photo CD in the CD drive, the computer should automatically open a dialogue box giving you various options; choose ‘open folder to view files’. Click on the ‘Looks4DatesYourName’ CD-icon to select it, right-click and select Copy, navigate to your chosen destination folder – it’s generally best to choose My Documents/My Pictures, right-click again and select Paste. This will save the entire folder ‘Looks4DatesYourName’ onto your PC.
Once your photos are saved on your computer, you are ready to upload.

If your CD does not automatically open:
Left-click on the Start button, click on My Computer, click on the ‘Looks4DatesYourName’ CD icon to select it, then right-click and select Copy, navigate to your chosen folder, it’s generally best to choose My Documents – My Pictures, right-click and Paste the entire Folder ‘Looks4DatesYourName’ onto your PC. This will save the entire folder onto your PC. Once your photos are saved on your computer, you are ready to upload.

Now check your Dating Website’s upload instructions at this point, you will be required to browse to your new ‘Looks 4 Dates’ photographs, and select the ones that you prefer. If you can only choose one image, then make it your best, but many sites allow you to include a selection, which gives you more chance to offer a 3 dimensional view of this wonderful person they will want to date!

Remember:
► High quality photographs produce larger files, which may take longer to upload.
► Your Dating Website may need to re-size, (reduce the physical size, or the pixel quality) or crop, (cut away) any areas of a photograph they think is (un)necessary.
► Looks 4 Dates clients can email a question to contact@looks4dates.co.uk if they are having problems uploading images, and we will do our best to find a solution. 

Photo re-touching / enhancement: We can professionally improve almost any photo - if you do not have a digital copy, we can scan in your print, (up to size A4) to make any adjustments, (see our Photo Evaluation page). We’re not talking unnatural changes here, (your head on Angelina Jolie/Arnold Schwarzenegger’s body etc) just a bit of help with complexion, (spots, blemishes) a bad hair day, or maybe a more artistic interpretation: black and white, sepia, High-key, (very high contrast) colour tint, or a pop-art Warhol effect, think Marilyn Monroe.
